Current status of sevoflurane anesthesia in association with microglia inflammation and neurodegenerative diseases

نویسندگان

چکیده

Sevoflurane is one of the most commonly used volatile anesthetics in clinical practice and often pediatric anesthesia intraoperative maintenance. Microglia exist central nervous system are innate immune cells system. Under external stimulation, microglia divided into two phenotypes: proinflammatory (M1 type) anti-inflammatory (M2 type), maintaining stability through induction, housekeeping, defense functions. can activate microglia, increase expression inflammatory factors various signaling pathways, release mediators to cause oxidative stress, damage nerve tissues, eventually develop neurodegenerative diseases. In this article, relationship between sevoflurane inflammation occurrence diseases reviewed as follows.

P 155: The Roles of Microglia in Neurodegenerative Diseases

Microglia is a type of glial cell located throughout the central nervous system (CNS), which is sensitive to CNS injury and disease. Responsibility of microglia as the resident macrophage cells for injuries suggests that these cells have the potential to act as diagnostic markers of disease beginning or progression. Function of Microglia is strongly synchronized by the microenvironment of brain...

P185: Survey Effect of Histamine on Microglia in Neurodegenerative Diseases

Neurodegenerative diseases contain Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson’s disease (PD), are characterized by neuronal death and neuronal degeneration in specific regions of the central nervous system (CNS). Microglia are the basic immune brain cells and play a role in homeostasis after inflammation challenge. Microglia involves in Neurodegenerative disease...

Microglia, Calcification and Neurodegenerative Diseases

1.1 Neurodegeneration involve different cell types Neurodegeneration is a complex process involving different cell types and neurotransmitters. A common characteristic of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease (HD) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is the occurrence of a neuroinflammatory reaction in...

P162: Emerging Perspectives on Mtor-Associated Inflammation in Neurodegenerative Diseases

Inflammatory processes have been shown to be involved in development and progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) involves in various cellular processes including autophagy, apoptosis and energy metabolism. Recently, studies have been shown an association between mTOR pathway and inflammation, supporting the role of the pathway in the pathogenesis of infla...

Inflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

The decline in mental fitness associated with Alzheimer disease is accompanied by physical changes in the brain, including the development of characteristic plaques and neurofibrillary tangles, but the pathogenesis of those changes is not clear. Recent work suggests that the activation of microglia in response to injury, illness, aging, or other causes begins a cascade of events that can best b...
